train time at Eketahuna

A lot of people people used to think of this town in the northern Wairarapa as NZ's version of "the back of beyond", and probably still do.  Regular passenger trains haven't run on the northern line since 1988, but as mentioned before it still sees regular NIMT detour freight trains.  This scene from about a century ago shows the leisurely arrival of a passenger train headed by a W series tank engine with a couple of connecting stagecoaches by the platform.
