1925 Buick

Is that a tool box on the running board?

It is a 1925 Buick Standard Six tourer. You can tell the 1925 from the very similar 1926 by the headlights which have a bar between them on the 1925 car and the bar below them in 1926. The bigger Master Six has only six bolts in the rear hubs where as the Standard has 12 as this car here has. This car would have been imported fully assembled from the US as local assembly did not start until 1926. The number plate looks to be white on black with a hyphen so the photo was taken between mid 1926 and mid 1927.

Yes I think that is a tool box - a locally added accessory probably.
