SP train exits the Siskiyou Summit Tunnel, Oregon, 1977
With an SD45 on the point. The grade inside is 3.2% and the grade just to the north of the summit is 3.67% which was the steepest of all the SP. This is on a line currently owned by the Central Oregon and Pacific Railroad.
